Looking for GTA 6 cheat codes? Here's the honest answer: **no GTA 6 cheats have been confirmed yet.** The game launches on November 19, 2026, and until then, nobody outside Rockstar knows what the codes are, or even how you'll enter them.

That hasn't stopped dozens of sites from publishing "full lists" of GTA 6 cheats. They're made up. This page is different: **we'll add each real cheat code as soon as it's found and tested on PS5 and Xbox**, starting on launch day, in 35 days.

Until then, here's everything that's actually known, how to spot a fake list, and the complete set of GTA 5 phone cheats, which is the best guide to what GTA 6 is likely to include.

**GTA 6 cheats: current status**

| | |
|---|---|
| Confirmed GTA 6 cheats | None yet |
| Will GTA 6 have cheats? | Very likely, but not confirmed by Rockstar (expected) |
| How to enter them | Not announced. GTA 5 used button combos and phone numbers |
| Platforms | PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version yet |
| Works in GTA Online? | No. Cheats have never worked online |
| Our list goes live | Launch day, November 19, 2026 |

## GTA 6 cheat codes list

The list below is where every confirmed GTA 6 cheat will go, with the code for PS5 and Xbox and what it does. **Each one is tested on both consoles before it's added.**

| Cheat | Effect | PS5 | Xbox | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| *No confirmed cheats yet* | Codes are added from launch day, November 19, 2026 | | | |

**Why the list is empty:** GTA 6 isn't out yet. Any site that shows GTA 6 codes right now is guessing, or has copied GTA 5's codes. We'd rather show you nothing than show you something wrong.

## Are the GTA 6 cheat lists online real?

No. Before launch, every specific list of GTA 6 cheat codes is invented. Here's how to tell, even after launch:

- **It was published before November 19, 2026.** No one outside Rockstar had the game, so no one could have tested a code.
- **The codes match GTA 5.** Many "GTA 6 cheats" are GTA 5's button combinations or phone numbers with a new title. Look out for numbers starting with **1-999**, which is GTA 5's cheat format.
- **There's a "money cheat."** GTA 5 never had a money cheat. A list that offers infinite money is almost certainly fake.
- **It asks you to download something.** Real console cheats never need a download. Any "cheat tool" or "mod menu" for console GTA 6 is a scam, and may carry malware.
- **There's no date or testing note.** A trustworthy cheat list says when it was updated and how the codes were checked.

## Will GTA 6 have cheat codes?

Almost certainly, though Rockstar hasn't confirmed it. Cheats have appeared in **every main Grand Theft Auto game since GTA 3** in 2001, and Rockstar kept them in GTA 5 even as it moved further toward realism.

There are a few reasons to be cautious:

1. **Red Dead Redemption 2's cheats were different.** Rockstar's last game made you unlock cheats through newspapers and collectibles before you could enter them. GTA 6 could take a similar approach.
2. **Trophies and achievements.** Cheats in GTA 5 switched off trophies and achievements for that session. GTA 6 will likely do the same.
3. **Online play.** Rockstar keeps cheats out of online modes, so any cheats will be story mode only.

## How cheats worked in GTA 5

GTA 5 gave you two ways to enter a cheat in story mode:

1. **Button combinations.** On console, you entered a sequence of buttons quickly during gameplay. If it worked, a "Cheat activated" message appeared.
2. **Phone numbers.** You could open the in-game phone (Up on the D-pad on PS5 and Xbox), go to Contacts, choose the keypad and dial a number. The same numbers worked on every platform.

Most GTA 5 cheats lasted until you turned them off or a mission started. Some, like invincibility, only lasted a few minutes. And using any cheat turned off trophies and achievements until you reloaded a save.

## Every GTA 5 phone cheat (works on PS5 and Xbox today)

Until GTA 6's cheats are known, GTA 5's are the best preview of what to expect. These are GTA 5's phone cheats, which work on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. **Each number spells a word on the phone keypad**, which makes them easy to remember. We've checked every number against its word.

### Health, weapons and police

| Cheat | Phone number | Keypad word |
|---|---|---|
| Invincibility (5 minutes) | 1-999-724-654-5537 | PAINKILLER |
| Max health and armor | 1-999-887-853 | TURTLE |
| Weapons and ammo | 1-999-866-587 | TOOLUP |
| Lower wanted level | 1-999-5299-3787 | LAWYERUP |
| Raise wanted level | 1-999-3844-8483 | FUGITIVE |
| Recharge special ability | 1-999-769-3787 | POWERUP |

### Combat and movement

| Cheat | Phone number | Keypad word |
|---|---|---|
| Explosive bullets | 1-999-444-439 | HIGHEX |
| Flaming bullets | 1-999-462-363-4279 | INCENDIARY |
| Explosive melee attacks | 1-999-4684-2637 | HOTHANDS |
| Super jump | 1-999-467-8648 | HOPTOIT |
| Fast run | 1-999-228-2463 | CATCHME |
| Parachute | 1-999-759-3483 | SKYDIVE |
| Skyfall (drop from the sky) | 1-999-759-3255 | SKYFALL |

### World effects

| Cheat | Phone number | Keypad word |
|---|---|---|
| Moon gravity | 1-999-356-2837 | FLOATER |
| Slow motion | 1-999-756-966 | SLOWMO |
| Drunk mode | 1-999-547-867 | LIQUOR |
| Change weather | 1-999-625-348-7246 | MAKEITRAIN |
| Slippery cars | 1-999-766-9329 | SNOWDAY |

### Vehicle spawns

| Vehicle | Phone number | Keypad word |
|---|---|---|
| Buzzard attack helicopter | 1-999-289-9633 | BUZZOFF |
| Comet sports car | 1-999-266-38 | COMET |
| BMX bike | 1-999-226-348 | BANDIT |
| Duster crop-duster plane | 1-999-359-77729 | FLYSPRAY |
| Stretch limo | 1-999-846-39663 | VINEWOOD |
| Trashmaster garbage truck | 1-999-872-7433 | TRASHED |

Expect GTA 6 to cover similar ground: health and armor, weapons, wanted levels, world effects like gravity and weather, and vehicle spawns. The codes themselves will almost certainly be new.

## What cheats to expect in GTA 6

Based on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, these are the kinds of cheats most likely to appear in GTA 6, if Rockstar includes them:

- **Health and armor**, since every 3D-era GTA has had a full-health cheat
- **Invincibility**, possibly time-limited like GTA 5's five-minute version
- **Weapons and ammo**, giving you a full loadout in one go
- **Wanted level controls**, raising or lowering police attention. With GTA 6's reworked police system, this could work differently
- **Vehicle spawns**, likely including Leonida-specific rides like airboats and boats
- **World effects**, such as weather changes, slow motion and low gravity
- **Fun cheats**, like explosive punches or super jump, which have been a GTA tradition

What's unlikely: a money cheat, anything that works in online play, or cheats that unlock story progress.

## GTA 6 cheats on PS5 vs Xbox

In GTA 5, button cheats were different on PlayStation and Xbox because the buttons are different, while phone cheats were identical everywhere. If GTA 6 follows the same pattern:

- **Button cheats** will have separate PS5 and Xbox versions. We'll list both.
- **Phone cheats**, if they return, will work the same on both consoles.
- **PC cheats**, when GTA 6 reaches PC, may use a typed console like GTA 5's PC version did. PC isn't announced yet. See our [GTA 6 PC release date](/gta-6-pc-release-date/) guide.

## Is there a GTA 6 money cheat?

There's no confirmed money cheat, and we wouldn't expect one. GTA 5 never had a money cheat code, because money is tied so closely to the story and to GTA Online. Be very wary of anything promising "unlimited money" in GTA 6, especially if it asks you to download a tool or enter your account details. Those are scams.

After launch, we'll publish legitimate ways to make money fast in GTA 6, based on actually playing the game.

## Can you use cheats in GTA 6 Online?

No. Cheat codes have never worked in GTA Online, and they won't work in GTA 6's online mode either. Third-party "mod menus" and hacks break Rockstar's rules, and accounts caught using them can be suspended or banned. Any cheats on this page are for **story mode only**.

## When will real GTA 6 cheats be found?

If GTA 6 has traditional cheat codes, players usually find them within hours of launch, sometimes from the game's own files or from codes Rockstar reveals itself. Here's our plan:

1. **Launch day, November 19:** we'll check every code that appears and add each one that works.
2. **Every code is tested** on both PS5 and Xbox before it goes on the list.
3. **The list is dated**, so you can always see when it was last updated.

Bookmark this page and check back on launch day. While you wait, find out [exactly when GTA 6 unlocks in your time zone](/gta-6-release-time/), or explore the [interactive GTA 6 map](/gta-6-map/).

## The bottom line

There are no confirmed GTA 6 cheat codes yet, and any list you see before November 19, 2026 is guesswork. Cheats are very likely, based on every GTA since GTA 3, and GTA 5's phone cheats above show the kind of cheats to expect. We'll add real GTA 6 codes for PS5 and Xbox here as soon as they're found and tested.

## Frequently asked questions

### Are there cheat codes in GTA 6?

Rockstar hasn't confirmed any GTA 6 cheat codes yet. Cheats have been in every main GTA game since GTA 3, so they're very likely, but no real codes will be known until the game launches on November 19, 2026.

### Are the GTA 6 cheat code lists online real?

No. GTA 6 isn't out yet, so any list of specific GTA 6 cheat codes published before November 19, 2026 is made up. Many are just GTA 5 codes relabeled.

### How do you enter cheats in GTA 6?

Rockstar hasn't said. In GTA 5, you could enter cheats as button combinations on the controller or by dialing numbers on the in-game phone. GTA 6 could use either method, or something new.

### Do cheats disable trophies in GTA 6?

That's not confirmed for GTA 6. In GTA 5, using a cheat turned off trophies and achievements until you loaded a save, so a similar rule is likely.

### Will GTA 6 cheats work in GTA Online?

Cheat codes have never worked in GTA Online. Third-party tools that claim to add them break Rockstar's rules and can get your account banned.

### Is there a GTA 6 money cheat?

There's no confirmed GTA 6 money cheat. GTA 5 never had a money cheat code either, so don't expect one.
